ORTHOPEDIC OUTPATIENT TREATMENT (No appointment required)

We treat a wide range of orthopedic diseases such as fractures, sprains, and other injuries, neck and back pain, arthritis, rheumatism, frozen shoulders, osteoporosis, numbness in limbs, and sports injuries.

DAY SURGERY/ OVERNIGHT HOSPITALIZATION

Endoscopic surgery with a small surgical wound allows for day surgery and overnight hospitalization. Short term hospitalization is possible at affiliated facilities.

INJECTION FOR PAIN MANAGEMENT

A method of relieving nerve or joint pain by administering medicine through injection while viewing fluoroscopy or ultrasound device.

Diseases for which injections are often administered.
Back pain, sciatica, stiff neck, frozen shoulders, osteoarthritis (knee, ankle, hip joints) tennis elbow, tendinitis etc.

PT: Physical / physio therapy (appointment required)

Physical therapists promote early natural healing by improving physical movement in daily life and sports, and provide positive mental support.

OUTPATIENT ORTHOSIS/ ORTHOTIC

OWNER’ S PROFILE

After graduating Jikei University (1995), I belonged to the Orthopedic surgery Department of Keio University. I have worked at affiliated hospitals and university hospitals for about 18 years including a stint in Cleveland Clinic Florida as a clinical research fellow.
During my career, I became a specialist in orthopedic surgery (2003) and received a PhD (2007).
Fortunately, I gained wide experience in taking care of orthopedic patients and have had many chances to work with other doctors with different specialties such as knee, shoulder, hand, and foot.

As I have continued my studies, I was licensed as an attending doctor for back surgery (2007), as well as receiving a technical certification in spinal endoscopic surgery (2016). I have had experiences in back surgery in about 3,000 cases. Currently I mainly specialize in spinal endoscopic surgery, and I perform about 100 cases a year. Due to the remarkable progression of spinal endoscopic surgery, we can manage a lumbar spinal disk herniation operation as a day surgery whereas 2 weeks hospitalization was standard practice 30 years ago.
Furthermore, as an orthopedic surgeon, I also perform an annual average of 100 arthroscopic surgeries per year, especially shoulder rotator cuff and foot ligament surgeries. As a clinically certified specialist of the Japanese Society of Rehabilitation Medicine, I am also able to provide post- operative rehabilitation services in any field of orthopedic surgery.

MEDICAL SERVICES WE PROVIDE

In our clinic, we perform 200 cases of one-day endoscopic surgeries a year, mainly for hernia and stenosis of lower back, as well as various types of spinal injections for back and neck pain as “scalpel-free treatment” every day. We also provide physical therapy for chronic pain (Neck, back, knee, etc). We are able to treat all kinds of orthopedic problems, so please feel free to contact us with any concerns you may have.
